Our challenge: Conceive, research, architect and design their next-generation platformWe developed a system of techniques that lead to greater understanding of a client's business, environment, content, and user base. Deep domain immersion helps with understanding the business, stakeholders, objectives, and requirements. Understanding the environment involves competitive benchmarking and metrics and market landscape research.
We leveraged heuristic evaluation, usability surveying and content analysis to understand the existing product and content. Understanding the user involves a proprietary series of research and behavioral modeling techniques.
While employed at Alpha Chi Technology I was responsible for all of the visual design concepts that the company produced. In addition, I met with clients to present solutions and brainstorm as new requests were made, in real-time. I also handled a large portion of the UX duties. I developed and produced all the UI designs and UI style guides for our clients, as well as training and mentorship for our client's UI design team. The software we developed deployed to various device types, including desktop, mobile, tablet, point-of-contact touchscreen, connected devices, and large format control room monitoring displays.
